Home Birth Links

This week, one of our members has emailed a number of amazing web resources to me to include in our links section on this blog. Thanks, Hannah. There is so much stuff out there available to read these days to encourage us in the path towards home birth. Sometimes it seems hard to filter through to find the really amazing from the just ok. Hopefully, through this blog we can help to provide you with links and information that support you in your journey. If anyone else has any favourite home birth and parenting related links that they would like to share with us, don’t hesitate to email them through to mhbanewsletter at hotmail.com or simply leave a comment on this blog and I will add them to our links list. The new links that Hannah has sent that I would like to draw your attention to at this stage are Hathor The Cow Goddess which contains a collection of amazing homebirth cartoons as well as general comments about birth and lots of other issues.   The other new one is Home Birth – a Midwife Mutiny which is an Australian midwife’s blog with tons of amazing home birth related links.

2008 – Year of Home Birth Awareness

According to Joyous Birth, The Australian Homebirth Network 2008 is the year of Home Birth Awareness. On their website they have a great list of ideas for how we can promote homebirth awareness every day in small, achievable ways. Lots of people each making a small effort can make a huge difference to the awareness of an entire community of the possibilities for birthing joyously at home. Take a look now and see what you can do to help spread the word about how great home birth is.
